There is a growing number of Trump supporters who are regretting their choice to vote for him. From a wife about to see her husband deported, to Texans who might see their homes cut off from the US by Trump’s Border Wall, and a father who felt betrayed by Trump’s ideas for Healthcare. And now another big Trump supporter, Kurt Farmer of Pennsylvania, is starting to feel that buyer’s remorse.
Farmer is a recovering heroin addict who relies on Medicaid to cover his treatment. He’s not alone either. 124,000 Pennsylvanians need Medicaid for drug or alcohol treatment. And Gov. Tom Wolf is doing everything he can to help them more. But if Trump cuts health care the way he wants to, low-income citizens like Farmer will suffer the most. Obamacare helped to fund recovery programs, but even though the American Health Care Act failed, Trump is still looking for ways to destroy Obama’s legacy. What voters like Farmer didn’t realize is that Trump is willing to throw them under the bus to do so.
