HOLD ON TO YOUR HATS…Alex Jones Officially Diagnosed With Narcissistic Personality Disorder

If Alex Jones’s divorce isn’t dramatic enough, with his ex-wife fearing for the safety of her children when they’re around him, it just got a little more interesting. A case manager revealed that Jones was diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder.  According to the Mayo Clinic, people with this disorder have “an inflated sense of their own importance, [and] a deep need for admiration and a lack of empathy for others,”  yet suffer from “a fragile self-esteem that’s vulnerable to the slightest criticism.” (Note: Trump hasn’t been diagnosed yet, as far as we know).

As it turns out, Jones did have a therapist—until his therapist had a stroke, according to the testimony of therapist Alissa Sherry. Because of this, Jones wasn’t seeing a therapist for a period of time.

She also remarked that  Jones is the only person she had ever heard to have taken off their shirt in a family therapy session—a strange habit of his.

If Jones decides to or currently is seeking help again, good for him. While having a disorder doesn’t excuse his comments or positions, it’s important to remember that a mental illness doesn’t make the man. Narcissism isn’t inherently a bad thing, and can even be a positive trait for some people—if those people aren’t bigoted white supremacists.
