A new poll has determined that a majority of Americans think it’s inappropriate that Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are playing significant roles in the White House.
A Quinnipiac University poll finds 53% of respondents say it is not appropriate for Ivanka Trump, the president’s daughter, to be playing such a significant role in the White House. Thirty-six percent think Ivanka Trump’s White House role is appropriate.
Americans are largely split along partisan lines on the issues, with 71% of Republicans saying it is appropriate for her to play a significant role in the White House and just 16% of Democrats saying the same.
When asked about her husband, Jared Kushner, 53% say it is inappropriate that he is playing a significant role in the White House, compared to 32% who think it is appropriate.
Sixty-six percent of Republicans think his role is appropriate, while just 14% of Democrats feel the same way.
