Donald Trump’s first wife Ivana Trump is scheduled to publish a memoir in September about her experience raising the couple’s three children.
The book titled “Raising Trump,” will be mainly “non-political,” its publisher Gallery Books said in a statement. Ivana supported her ex-husband during his 2016 presidential bid, and the book is unlikely to be critical of him.
Gallery’s statement read:
“As her former husband takes his place as the 45th president of the United States, his children have also been thrust into the media spotlight – but it is Ivana who raised them and proudly instilled in them what she believes to be the most important life lessons: loyalty, honesty, integrity and drive.”
The book will also discuss her “childhood in communist Czechoslovakia, her escape from the regime and relocation to New York, her whirlwind romance, and her great success as a businesswoman,” according to the publisher’s statement to the AP.
Ivana is the mother of his three oldest children, Donald Jr., Eric and Ivanka. Donald Jr. and Eric took over Trump’s business empire in January, and Ivanka is considered one of the president’s closest confidantes and is said to have considerable sway over her father.
