Top members of President Trump’s cabinet may be in Putin’s pocket, says Congresswoman Jackie Speier, a member of the House Intelligence Committee.

Speaking on MSNBC, Speier, who has access to classified intelligence reports, told the show host:

“There is circumstantial evidence of an entire web that Putin put in place ensnaring many of the people who now have very respected positions within the U.S. cabinet.”

Democrats have been heavily criticized for comparing Trump’s Russia scandal to Watergate, to which Speier said:

“This is as big, if not bigger, than Watergate.”

Confirming the suspicion that has been on everyone’s mind about compromising Russian intelligence on Trump and his team, Speier said:

“There is circumstantial evidence of an entire web that Putin put in place ensnaring many of the people who now have very respected positions within the U.S. cabinet.”

Five members of Trump’s inner circle have been proven to have had contact with Russian government officials which they failed to properly disclose. The “Russia” scandal is not the “fake news” that President Trump claims it is, but may instead explode into a major scandal.
