During the presidential campaign of 2016, Donald Trump spouted an endless amount of rhetoric in which he claimed to be able to protect the American people from being harmed due to illegal immigration. There is absolutely no evidence that illegal immigration is a detriment to society, but that is an irrelevant portion of Trump’s argument which plays on fear, hatred, and division. Now that Trump has been inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States he is making good on one of his darkest campaign promises. The Gestapo era of American life has arrived as Federal immigration agents are going door to door and arresting individuals who may be inside the borders of the United States illegally.
The agency known as ICE, Immigration and Customers Enforcement, has received a criticism for their tactics. However, a spokesperson said the agency is doing exactly what they always do:
The focus was no different than the routine, targeted arrests carried out by ICE’s Fugitive Operations Teams on a daily basis.
Regardless of how ICE attempts to spin their activities they are not dissuading protesters who have been staging demonstrations outside of their various offices and headquarters:

Trump has outraged and inflamed millions of Americans and millions more around the world with his decision to move forward with mass deportations. There is going to be a reckoning between Trump’s government and those who oppose him. What happens when that moment arrives is the guess of any person, but the resolution is highly likely to be combustible.
