Mark Cuban says Donald Trump’s temporary ban on refugees and travelers from seven Muslim-majority nations is a “horrible” misstep.
Appearing on CNN’s “OutFront”, Cuban said:
“Let’s just be real, real clear. The ban was half-assed and half-baked, right? If the goal was security, why do you leave off other countries that hosted terrorism? It was half-baked, it wasn’t thought out, it was rushed, and it was ridiculous. When something like this happens, it calls into question the management skills of the guy in charge.”
Cuban famously supported Hillary Clinton in the general election.
Trump signed an executive order Friday imposing a 90-day ban on travelers from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Sudan and Yemen.
It also froze general refugee admissions into the U.S. for 120 days, and created an indefinite ban on Syrian refugees.
Trump’s move sparked global debate, with Democrats and human rights organizations arguing it’s unconstitutional and biased against Muslims.
