Typically when an institution of higher learning has a graduate who reaches the heights of national prominence that individual is touted as a success story. However, that is not the case for President Donald Trump’s chief propagandist and senior adviser Kellyanne Conway. Her former alma mater has taken the opportunity to skewer Conway and her fame at every turn, and she is not pleased about this at all.
Conway graduated from Trinity Washington University in 1989 and their president, Patrician McGuire, wrote of Conway:
Presidential Counselor Kellyanne Conway, Trinity Class of 1989, has played a large role in facilitating the manipulation of facts and encouraging the grave injustice being perpetrated by the Trump Administration’s war on immigrants among many other issues.
Ouch. In response Conway said during an interview that she was disappointed in McGuire’s statement, “It’s a disappointment to have the president of the university lift up other Trinity graduates who have a casual relationship with the truth.” Conway also said that during 1999 to 2002 she donated $50,000 to the University of which was solicited by McGuire.
Conway seems to be confused as to why she finds herself in the targets of every major media outlet. She has proved herself to be willing to spread demonstrably untrue information, and to do so in a shameless manner. Until Conway learns that individuals who watch her television performances are aware of the facts she attempts to hide she will forever find herself on the losing end of the debate.
