You knew Donald Trump couldn’t keep quiet about the Oscars for long!
Trump is calling last night’s Oscar ceremony “sad,” saying the awards show was “focused so hard on politics” it led to the epic snafu over the best picture winner.
In an exclusive interview with Breitbart, Trump said:
“I think they were focused so hard on politics that they didn’t get the act together at the end. It was a little sad. It took away from the glamour of the Oscars.”
In a midnight stunner, Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway (thanks to the wrong category’s envelope being handed to them) mistakenly presented the best picture trophy to “La La Land” instead of actual winner “Moonlight.”
“It didn’t feel like a very glamorous evening,” Trump said of the ceremony, considered Hollywood’s biggest night.
While multiple stars took to the stage to denounce Trump’s policies, none of them mentioned the commander in chief by name.
First-time host Jimmy Kimmel hurled a few jabs Trump’s way in his opening monologue, telling the crowd: “Some of you will get to come up on this stage tonight and give a speech that the president of the United States will tweet about in all caps during his 5 a.m. bowel movement tomorrow.”
“I’ve been to the Oscars,” Trump said the next day. “There was something very special missing, and then to end that way was sad.”
