There is absolutely no evidence to show that massive voter fraud took place during the 2016 presidential elections, but that has not stopped President Donald Trump from continuing to state that is what happened. Trump has difficulty accepting the reality that over 3 million more people voted for Sec. Hillary Clinton than him and instead he has concocted an insane conspiracy theory. Trump’s supporters are buying his lies without questioning why he continues to spout nonsensical rhetoric, and it gets even worse. Trump announced that the investigation is going to move forward with Vice President Mike Pence leading the charge.
The announcement came on Fox News while Trump was giving an interview on Fox News to Bill O’Reilly. Trump said, “We’re going to look at it very, very carefully.” What Trump planning to look at is a mystery to all as there is nothing to inspect. There were no reports of widespread voter fraud to the tune of 3 to 5 million voters as he has stated numerous times. Surely, when 100s of millions of individuals take to the polls, there will be mistakes made and there will a scant few individuals who do indeed attempt to break the law. That, however, is true of any situation.
What is on the horizon is nothing but a waste of taxpayer funds and a distraction from the very serious issues facing the United States. As long as Trump continues to blind his supporters with his rhetoric they will never wake up and that is terribly unfortunate.
