Step right up and behold with awe and wonder the absolute hypocrisy of Republicans. After spending years hounding Secretary Hillary Clinton about her private email server, which involved numerous congressional hearings and millions of taxpayer dollars, they suddenly have no issue with President Donald Trump’s private email server. This staggering, and unfortunately predictable, change in perspective highlights the absolute worst in partisan politics.
The ultimately stupid revelation was found during a new poll by Public Policy Polling which stated:
Forty-two percent of Trump voters think he should be allowed to have a private email server to just 39 percent who think he shouldn’t be allowed to.
Trump’s supporters further showed their inability to remain consistent when they expressed outrage over Trump announcing he would not pursue investigations into Clinton’s email server. Trump said:
I just don’t know. I mean, I hope so. From my standpoint we want to move on to the future, so I hope so. I don’t know what the status of that is. I know it is a lot of very serious stuff, but I certainly hope so.
Although if he were to flip flop and bring back the investigations his supporters would simultaneously cheer the announcement while giving him a pass. Up is down and wet is dry in the new America. Be afraid.
