Chelsea Clinton knows what it is like growing up in the political spotlight, and now she’s standing up for President* Donald Trump’s 10-year-old son Barron.
In response to jokes people were making online about Barron after the inauguration Friday, the 36-year-old daughter of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton tweeted a powerful message on Sunday.
“Barron Trump deserves the chance every child does-to be a kid,” she wrote.
Barron Trump deserves the chance every child does-to be a kid. Standing up for every kid also means opposing @POTUS policies that hurt kids.

However, Clinton also implied that some of Trump’s policies may harm children.
She said, “Standing up for every kid also means opposing @POTUS policies that hurt kids.”
Chelsea Clinton was once a very good friend of Trump’s oldest daughter Ivanka, and in a recent interview, Ivanka stated that she hopes their friendship will continue.
Ivanka told 20/20 on Tuesday that she has not chatted with Chelsea since her father was named 45th President of the United States over Chelsea’s mom, Hillary Clinton.
“She’s been a friend of mine long before the campaign, of course will be a friend of mine after,” Ivanka dished. “I haven’t spoken about the specific challenges about this next chapter with her just yet but I intend to.”
