The term of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States is going to begin at 12 o’clock sharp on the afternoon of January 20th. Once that happens Trump will find himself forced to comply with a variety of laws and rules governing the presidency, and one ethics expert has stated he believes Trump will become immediately in violation of the United States Constitution.

The individual who used to be the top ethics lawyer for President George W. Bush, of all people, named Richard Painter, made an appearance on “This Week” on the ABC network. Painter relayed why he believes Trump will be breaking the law:

If he does not make sure that all the foreign government payments — and this includes banks and other corporations owned by foreign governments and sovereign wealth funds — that all of that money is not out of the Trump organization by Friday when he takes the oath, he will be in violation of the Constitution. The founders knew that foreign governments would try to meddle in our elections, meddle in our politics. They did not want any foreign government money coming into anyone holding a position of trust in our government.

Mr. Painter has continually made the same criticism of Trump for months, and now that the inauguration is days away he will have his opportunity to be proved right or wrong.
