The visit was announced amid Trump’s torrent of tweets about congressman and civil rights icon John Lewis.
Just a day after the announced visit, transition officials told ABC that Trump would no longer be attending the museum due to “scheduling issues”.
Trump is expected to visit the museum sometime after he assumes office, the sources say. He will commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day in Washington, D.C., in another way, though details were not immediately available.
