The close of Barack Obama’s presidency is soon to arrive, with Obama leaving office as one of the most popular presidents in the history of the United States. To prepare for his final sendoff Obama is planning a major party to be held at the White House and he is pulling out all of the stops.
A star-studded event is planned to take place on Jan 6th for close friends and major donors of Obama. Thus far the celebrities who have RSVPD to the event including Bradley Cooper, George Luca, Stevie Wonder, Samuel L. Jackson, Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce, and Jay-Z. No attendees will be allowed to bring a phone or any electronics to the event and all will be confiscated before they are allowed in the building.
The news of Obama’s event must surely grind the gears of President-elect Donald Trump who has been having a famously poor time attempting to secure celebrities to attend his inauguration on Jan. 20.
Before Republicans have an opportunity to complain about the cost of the event it has already been stipulated that the Obama family will be footing the bill and no costs will be levied toward the taxpayers. Obama has avoided Republican scrutiny by paying for his own parties in the past.
The United States will be a lesser nation with Obama no longer as its president. For his time in office her certainly deserves a night to enjoy with those closest to him one last time in the White House.
