It can be a full-time job attempting to fact check all of the statements which bubble out of the mouth of Republican presidential nominee to determine if they are factual or not. At particular interest in the final days of the presidential election are Trump’s ties to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. In the past Trump has stated he does, and does not, have a relationship with the Russian president, which makes the public curious which version of Trump’s story should they believe.
Trump sat down for an interview with Extra, and stated categorically that he has no relationship with Putin. When he ask asked by AJ Calloway if Trump was then recanting his past statements Trump puffed that he was “not recanting anything.”
This story falls flatly abreast a 2013 interview when Trump was asked if he had a relationship with Putin and he glowingly bragged about having one. Trump said:
I do have a relationship. And I can tell you that he’s very interested in what we’re doing here today. He’s probably very interested in what you and I are saying today and I’m sure he’s going to be seeing it in some form. But I do have a relationship with him and I think it’s very interesting to see what’s happened.

The question now becomes was Trump lying then, or is Trump lying now? Or was he lying both times? With Trump, you just never know and that’s a very serious problem.
