Now that Donald Trump has shocked the entire planet and is the president-elect of the United States of America the speculation has begun towards how his presidency will look. Many are predicting gloom and doom, as Trump’s vision of hate and division come to a realization. However, other individuals believe Trump’s time in office will be limited, and he will be an impotent president due to an all but inevitable impeachment by Democrats.

A law professor at the University of Utah, Christopher Lewis Peterson, has laid out why he believes it is likely Trump will be impeached, and why the impeachment will be successful in removing Trump from office. In the past two presidents have been impeached, and but neither were convicted after they stood trial with the senate. Lewis wrote a 23-parge article to make his case. He said, in part:

Unlike his promised crimes yet to come, the illegal acts in Trump’s high-pressure wealth seminars have already occurred. Indeed, a federal judge appointed under Article III of the U.S. Constitution has already determined that Trump’s alleged actions, if true, constitute fraud and racketeering. Congress would be well within its legal rights under the Constitution to insist upon a President who is not a fraudster or a racketeer as defined in its own law.

It would appear that the bulk of Perterson’s case is built upon the lawsuit against Trump University, and not based upon the various lawsuits the president-elect is facing for alleged sexual assault.
