The generally accepted belief was that if Donald Trump was elected as the next President of the United States that he would be forced to remove himself from petty Twitter arguments. That thought, it appears, was flatly wrong as Trump engaged in another embarrassing Twitter tirade at 4 a.m. when he decided to lash out at a main stream media outlet for no reason other than he did not appreciate the coverage which they had been offering about him and his transition as the 45th president.
The failing @nytimes story is so totally wrong on transition. It is going so smoothly. Also, I have spoken to many foreign leaders.
His childishness did not end there. He continued his rant:
I have received and taken calls from many foreign leaders despite what the failing @nytimes said. Russia, U.K., China, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and more. I am always available to them. @nytimes is just upset that they looked like fools in their coverage of me.
The New York Times was prepared for Trump and his stupidity and they did not hesitate to fire back. They Tweeted:
Americans not fearing or favoring Trump, though, just doesn’t seem to fit in the new president’s game plan. So far, his entire retaliation plan seems to be Twitter insults, but who knows how far this attack on American journalism will go?
The question now is what will Trump do? He is not going to have time to continue to pursue childish arguments on the Internet now that he is the leader of the free world.
