Donald Trump issued a Thanksgiving message via YouTube, and it was simply ridiculous.
Trump said he hoped Americans would come together to “heal our divisions”, which is funny considering he is one of the main reasons for the division.
In the two-minute address, Trump acknowledged that the election had left hurt feelings but urged the public to work together and move forward.
Trump said, “It is my prayer, that on this Thanksgiving, we begin to heal our divisions and move forward as one country, strengthened by a shared purpose and very, very common resolve. We have just finished a long and bruising political campaign. Emotions are raw and tensions just don’t heal overnight. It doesn’t go quickly, unfortunately, but we have before us the chance now to make history together to bring real change to Washington, real safety to our cities, and real prosperity to our communities, including our inner cities. So important to me, and so important to our country. But to succeed, we must enlist the effort of our entire nation.”
Does anyone believe that Trump actually prays? Or is he just pandering to the evangelical base again.
“This historic political campaign is now over,” he added. “Now begins a great national campaign to rebuild our country and to restore the full promise of America for all of our people.”
This video address was obviously pre-taped, as it has the same background as the video address he did on Monday where he discussed transition efforts.
