Bernie Sanders, the democrat/independent senator who challenged Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination this year, said that he is “humiliated” for the Democratic Party.
Monday morning Sanders tweeted, “I come from the white working class, and I am deeply humiliated that the Democratic party cannot talk to the people where I came from.”
Trump soared to victory last Tuesday due in part to his support among white working-class voters in states like Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. Before Election Day, Democrats were confident that these states would remain blue.
I come from the white working class, and I am deeply humiliated that the Democratic Party cannot talk to the people where I came from.
