There is no love loss between Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly and President-elect Donald Trump. The two have openly feuded for months, with Trump making continual sexist comments derriding Kelly’s character and capacity to perform her job merely because she is a woman. In a bit of revenge which will please those who stand against Trump, Kelly has spilled the behind the scene beans in her new book which details Trump’s behavior in the buildup to the presidential debate between himself and his vanquished foe Hillary Clinton.
The day before the first presidential debate, Mr. Trump was in a lather again. He called Fox executives, saying he’d heard that her first question ‘was a very pointed question directed at him.’ This disconcerted her, because it was true: It was about his history of using disparaging language about women.
It appears Trump was willing to stoop to lows previously not recorded in political history, and it is alleged that Kelly became violently ill right before she was to take to the debate stage. As the story is told a new driver picked Kelly up from her hotel to drive her to the debate venue. The driver offered her coffee, to which she declined. However, the driver was insistent and Kelly gave in to his request and accepted and drank the drink. Almost immediately she fell ill and began vomiting in an uncontrollable pace. It was for her own fortitude that she was able to perform on the debate stage.
This scenario raises questions if it was Trump who planted the drink against her, or if the incident happened at all. One would be a fool to believe every word which Kelly speaks, as she has made a living for years spreading propaganda on Fox News. When it comes to Trump, though, nothing is a surprise.
