Lara Trump, the wife of Donald Trump’s son Eric, has said her father-in-law played a large role in the FBI’s decision to review the new Hillary Clinton emails.
In a radio interview with WABC radio host Rita Cosby Friday night, Lara Trump said, “I think my father-in-law forced their hand in this … You know, he has been the one since the beginning saying that she shouldn’t be able to run for president, and I commend him on that.” If “he had not put that pressure on,” the new emails would not be under as much scrutiny, she said.
Lara said that the latest email scandal would be the “nail in the coffin” for Hillary Clinton. After FBI Director James Comey revealed Friday that new emails had been discovered and would be reviewed, Trump announced the bombshell to supporters in New Hampshire, saying “justice will finally be done.”
