Wow. Hillary Clinton attended her first post-concession speech Wednesday evening, and she didn’t wear makeup, and her hair was perfectly coiffed the way it was during the campaign.

And the internet is freaking out about it…both in good ways and bad ways.

Addressing guests at the Children’s Defense Fund gala (Hillary has been involved with the CDF for over 40 years), she mentioned how difficult it was to muster energy to make an appearance, told a pertinent story about her mother, and asked the crowd not to give up on the country. “America is worth it,” she said. “Our children are worth it. Believe in our country, fight for our values and never, never give up.”

Her speech was amazing and uplifting, but that is not what the internet was focusing on. From the right, you saw the expected response:

And yes, that photo is Photoshopped to make her look worse.

But thankfully, on the other side, Twitter users were heartened by Clinton’s appearance.

In the beginning of her speech, Clinton noted that, “Coming here wasn’t the easiest. There have been a few times this past week when all I wanted to do is just to curl up with a good book or our dogs and never leave the house again.”

Can you blame her?
