Donald Trump attended the Al Smith Dinner, an event held every election cycle that benefits Catholic charities. Normally the candidates are self-deprecating and funny, but apparently Trump didn’t get the memo.
Trump told a few jokes that were somewhat funny, but by the end he was straight out mean, and was booed by the crowd.
He jokingly said that last night at the debate, Clinton told him “Pardon me” and he said he responded, “Let me talk to you about that after I get into office.”
He also brought up that “nasty woman” remark from last night and said that after listening to her “rattle on and on and on,” “I don’t think so badly of Rosie O’Donnell anymore.”
He said, “Hillary is so corrupt she got kicked off the Watergate commission. How corrupt do you have to be to get kicked off the Watergate commission?” This line got big boos.
And it was just the first of many times Trump got booed tonight, including when he said Clinton was sitting there “pretending not to hate Catholics.”
