Melania Trump threatens People Magazine writer’s account of Donald Trump’s sexual assault with lawsuit
The campaign of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is going up in flames with numerous allegations of sexual assault and misconduct being levied against the embattled businessman. A story by a writer for People Magazine is particularly damning, which has Trump’s wife Melania livid to the point of threatening a lawsuit unless parts the salacious tale are pulled from their publication and a retraction and apology are offered.
Natasha Stoynoff published a bombshell account of the time she alleges Trump attempted to have sex with her in a hotel room. However, Melania Trump has an issue with another part of Stoynoff’s account which implicates her directly. Mrs. Trump posted a letter from her lawyers to Stoynoff to Twitter where they demand this section of Stoynoff’s story be removed:
That winter, I actually bumped into Melania on Fifth Avenue, in front of Trump Tower as she walked into the building, carrying baby Barron. ‘Natasha, why don’t we see you anymore?’ she asked, giving me a hug. I was quiet and smiled, telling her I’d missed her, and I squeezed little Barron’s foot. I couldn’t discern what she knew. Did she really not guess why I hadn’t been around?
Melania Trump’s lawyers say Stoynoff’s account is a flat lie:
Mrs. Trump did not encounter Ms. Stoynoff on the street, nor have any conversation with her. The two are not friends and were never friends or even friendly.
If the corrections demanded by Melania Trump’s lawyers were not made in 24 hours, they have threatened to pursue a lawsuit.
