The Clinton Campaign continues to produce the best and moving ads. And with her poll numbers improving in red states such as Arizona and Texas, more and more of these ads will be seen.
The Clinton camp just released a new ad, which is undoubtedly her most heartbreaking yet.
It is entitled “Captain Khan”, and features Khizr Khan, the father of Humayun Khan, a Muslim-American soldier killed in Iraq in 2004. Khan entered the public space this summer at the Democratic National Convention, where he gave an impassioned speech, probably the most powerful of the convention, where he asked Donald Trump if he had ever read the U.S. Constitution, and told Trump he had “sacrificed nothing and no one.”
In the ad, Khan comforts his wife Ghazala (whom Trump later insinuated wasn’t allowed to speak because she is Muslim), while he softly recites this question as footage of his son being laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery plays on a nearby screen.
“I want to ask Mr. Trump, would my son have a place in your America?”
