Trump to be investigated for BRIBERY if House Democrats have their way
Democratic members of Congress are asking for an official investigation to be launched into Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi’s relationship with Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. Trump gave $25,000 to Bondi’s campaign and days later Bondi’s office made the extremely coincidental decision to not investigate Trump’s diploma mill “Trump University” which bilked thousands of unwitting customers out of millions of dollars.
The allegation by Democrats is Trump’s donation was directly tied to Bondi’s decision to not pursue a criminal investigation against him. Congressman John Conyers said, “These payments may have influenced Mrs. Bondi’s official decision not to participate in litigation against Mr. Trump. This fact pattern indicates that these payments may have influenced Mrs. Bondi’s official decision not to participate in litigation against Mr. Trump. A number of criminal statutes would appear to be implicated by this course of conduct.”
While it is true that Trump has already paid a $2,500 fine in relation to the donation, and Bondi returned the funds to Trump, that does not excuse the possible criminal conduct. If found to be culpable in any way with the alleged conspiracy Bondi could prove to be the silver bullet which takes down Trump’s political ambitions. However, the wheels of justice move slowly. With consideration of it being election season Democrats have an interest in pushing United States Attorney General Loretta Lynch to move swiftly in pressing forward with an investigation. To remain impartial Lynch will have to balance the optics of how it will appear to the public, and if spun in the correct way Trump may be able to use the impending investigation as leverage to prove what he has been saying during his entire campaign — that the deck has been stacked against him.
