With the presidential election in full swing Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has said so many outrageous things in the last year it is difficult to keep track of them all. However, it seems the failed orange businessman has finally broken the mold and taken things too far. Besides having built his campaign upon lies, fear, and division Trump’s world view has come into focus which was never before as understood as it is today. Apparently Trump believes that he, and others like him, whomever they may be, have superior genetics. Indeed, Trump’s arrogance seems to be without limits and he will pat himself on the back in an attempt to gain praise whenever possible.
“Frontline” recently produced a documentary titled “The Choice” which shows Trump, who we already know is a racist, believes in the thoroughly debunked Nazi theory of eugenics. Adolf Hitler had a dream of a genetically superior German race, and Trump’s ideology falls squarely within that realm.
According to Trump’s biographer Michael D’Antonio, the belief of superior genes is something Trump’s father, Fred Trump, instilled upon him at an early age. D’Antonio said, “The family subscribes to a racehorse theory of human development. They believe that there are superior people and that if you put together the genes of a superior woman and a superior man, you get a superior offspring.”
Over the years Trump has alluded to this point. In the past he has said, “You have to have the right — the right genes.” He also said, “I have a certain gene. I’m a gene believer.” He further said at a rally, “I have great genes and all that stuff which, I’m a believer in.”
