A powerful Democratic senator says Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will be culpable in the death of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton if any of Trump’s supporters decide to take a heinous action. Trump had previously called for his supporters to use the Second Amendment to thwart Clinton’s picks for the Supreme Court. Now after Trump’s last speech on Sept. 16 he called for Clinton to be abandoned by the Secret Service, forcing the Democratic leadership to step in and warn Trump about the seriousness of his rhetoric.
Sen. Chris Murphy, from Connecticut, is outraged at Trump’s speech. Trump said, “I think that her bodyguards should drop all weapons,” he said. “Take their guns away. She doesn’t want guns … let’s see what happens to her. Take their guns away, OK? It’d be very dangerous.” Murphy then tweeted:
Hey @realDonaldTrump, if you keep suggesting your supporters kill @HillaryClinton, someone will listen. The blood will be on your hands
Trump’s campaign insists Clinton’s supporters are overreacting with their response. However Clinton’s campaign does not believe it to be a laughing matter. Clinton’s campaign manager Robby Mook said, “Whether this is done to provoke protesters at a rally or casually or even as a joke, it is an unacceptable quality in anyone seeking the job of Commander in Chief.”
The outrage of Trump inciting violence is no laughing matter. Individuals of lesser intelligence flock toward Trump. It is only a matter of time before a moronic individual with violent tendencies decides to attack Clinton for the sole purpose of winning Trump’s favor and that is a truly scary thought. Trump will be to blame.
