You won’t believe which Fox News host might be part of Trump’s administration
Individuals in the despicable conservative media are all jockeying for the chance to have a seat at the table if Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump pulls off an upset and somehow wins the election in November.
Fox News host Sean Hannity claims to be “advising” the bombastic businessman’s presidential campaign, and makes no bones about impartiality. He said, “I never claimed to be a journalist. I’m not hiding the fact that I want Donald Trump to be the next president of the United States.” during an interview with columnist Jim Rutenberg of Times media.
There is speculation as to what Hannity’s exact role is in Trump’s organization as Hannity says, “Nobody controls Donald Trump but Donald Trump.” However, Hannity is a savvy media consultant and individuals inside Trump’s campaign state Hannity has “peppered Mr. Trump, his family members, and advisers with suggestions on strategy and messaging.”
Mr. Hannity claims his advice is merely that, and he is not angling for a position in Trump’s administration. He said, “Do I talk to my friend who I’ve known for years and speak my mind? I can’t not speak my mind.”
If Trump were to elevate Hannity to a position of prominence in American government it would further blur the lines between politics and entertainment. This is something Trump has sought to do from the very beginning of his presidential bid, with many speculating that if he loses the election he will start his own media network called “Trump TV.” Hannity is a nationally recognized figure and seems to be in a no-lose scenario. He will either take his place next to Trump in the administration, or he will have a place on Trump’s network. Either situation makes one’s stomach sour.
