Fox News has offered slanted “news” to viewers for years, but recently one of their hosts cheered the idea of a terrorist attack to help Donald Trump’s presidential aspirations.
While on Fox’s “The Five“, a show where five host debate the news of the day, Kimberly Guilfoyle offered her thoughts on how Republicans can replenish their dwindling support amongst young people, “What I think, though, the problem is you run the risk of alienating the young people. The up and coming voters which I think is a larger and more global. You don’t want them to feel like they’ve got nowhere to go. And they sort of imprint and identify somewhere else, it can be much more difficult to get them back. So you want to be sure that you’re including those that don’t have all of the different life experiences that we do.”
Jesse Watters, one of the most idiotically dim personalities on television today, then chimed in:
And if there is one more terror attack, maybe in October, this is going to make Trump’s plan look a lot more appealing.
To make such a suggestion is outrageous and disgraceful. Considering Trump’s many ties to Russia, and his willingness to use their resources to attack Hillary Clinton’s candidacy, it is not a completely unreasonable scenario to consider. Would a terrorist attack benefit Trump at the ballot box in November? Clinton actually has foreign policy experience of a vast variety, while Trump has exactly zero. Therefore it likely would not inspire confidence in the American voter whose homeland had just been attacked to elect an individual who doesn’t know what they are doing.
Host Juan Williams called out Watters, “Oh my god. What wishful thinking. Anti-American. That’s unbelievable.” Watters then played coy, “Why would you say that is what I was thinking? How dare you? That was political analysis.” Williams eviscerated Watters, “Oh is that what it was? I thought it was desperation.”
