An armed society is a polite society, as the saying goes. However a missed communication between two strangers in a Las Vegas McDonald’s parking lot turned deadly after a man failed to open the door for a woman who he did not know.

Mohammad Robinson, 31, was exiting a McDonald’s restaurant in Las Vegas when a woman asked him to hold the door open for her. Robinson did not hold the door, for whatever reason, and the woman turned to her male companion to complain about the perceived slight she had suffered from Robinson. The male then pulled a gun and shot Robinson in cold blood, he died at the scene. Robinson’s friend witnessed the shooting, but was unable to identify the killer.

Robinson’s daughter, Miniya Sampson, said, “It was a stupid reason honestly, irrelevant. It doesn’t make any sense why would you actually take someone’s life over not opening a door. It’s horrible. I want my dad back and you took him away from me!” She went on to say, “My dad would open the door and hold it for the lady but he probably didn’t hear her.”

Robinson’s girlfriend, who asked to not be identified, claims Robinson was a stand-up citizen. She said, “He was the utmost respect for his elders. Yes, ma’am — no sir. He’s not confrontational even when we would argue he’d walk away.”

The killers are still at large and police are pursuing numerous leads. If individuals wish to donate to Robinson’s family they can click this link.
